The concert promises to be an evening to remember as it would be replete with razzmatazz and ‘infortainmen’t hitherto unexperienced in Benin City in one fell swoop.

The Glo Slide and Bounce musical concert held in Abuja excited Abuja crème de la creme, including the Minister of Tourism ,Culture and National Orientation, Chief Edem Duke. First to perform was Chee, the voice who looked resplendent in a white and black dress. Her soulful rendition of ‘Share a gift’ set the tone for the evening and the audience appreciated her.

Bez mounted the stage next with his guitar and jazzed up the night with brassy rock and roll tunes tinged with local flavours. The tempo was further raised when Lynxx climbed down from the stage to party with the audience. These acts were interspersed with sensational tunes from the turn tables of DJ Sprint and electrifying dance steps of Jimmy.

Ebelebe crooner Burna Boy rapped in Yoruba and the audience sang along with him and his performance heralded Waje who got people dancing with a rendition of the popular tune “One naira”. Next came delectable Omawumi in a shimmering mini silver dress. With hard-to-resist highlife tunes, Omawumi got the hall dancing. Next came Naeto C who really got the party on the way with his ‘ten over ten’ song and stage performance. PSquare  took the concert to its apogee with their electrifying performance and Alingo dance.

The introduction of Jay Kolo who danced with them in the Unlimited commercial excited the crowd to no end. Severally, P Square sang songs to mourn their mother whom they recently lost to the cold hands of death. They gave a good account of themselves as they treated the ecstatic crowd to several of their popular songs like ‘E no easy’ and ‘Chop my money’.

He said his Ministry was in full support of Globacom youth initiatives like the Glo Soccer Academy, the X Factor as well as empowerment of iconic Nollywood stars and singers which handsomely reward excellence and hardwork.
