Few weeks after the release of the beta for iOS7 operating system,
Apple has released a second version of the iOS7 which amongst other
features would now enable iphone and ipad users to control certain parts
of their device with their heads…yes, you read that right. The good
people at Apple have upped the iOS7 such that you can now control
certain parts of the user interface simply by tilting your head in a
certain direction.
The feature reportedly comes as one of the iOS’s built-in
accessibility package which will be an option for people with limited
body movement to control their devices without actually touching them.
It will work using the front-facing Facetime camera to detect movements,
taking over and disabling the traditional touch controls.
Apple had previously released the first version of the beta iOS7 to
developers a few weeks ago while a second version was released on
Monday. It is not yet certain, however if this head feature will make it
to the final version of the iOS7 which is due for release later in the
year.
In the years following the death of Apple inc founder, Steve Jobs,
Apple has come under a lot of heat for not following in the giant
innovative steps, Jobs left behind especially after the somewhat
disappointing outing of the iphone 5 and more so in the frenzied weeks
following the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
With a number of
products due for launch in September and the impending final public
release of the new iOS7, it remains to be seen whether Apple will fully
bounce back and regain its stronghold of the smartphone market
especially in the United States.
